Website Refresh Sprint · from $2,500 · 7–10 days

Your business grew.
Your website didn't.

I'm Kara — a product designer in Austin. I redesign outdated small-business websites into sites that actually sound like you and get the call. One focused sprint. No agency, no runaround. Just me.

have my number by day two.

The quiet problem

Your customers are judging you on a website
you haven't really looked at in three years.

It's the first impression you're never in the room for. And for most small businesses I meet, it's quietly turning people away before they ever call.

  • 01

    It looks frozen in 2014

Great business, dated site. The mismatch makes people quietly second-guess you.

  • 02

No one knows what to do next

Call? Book? Inquire? If it isn't obvious in three seconds, they leave.

  • 03

    It breaks on a phone

More than half your visitors are on mobile. That's where most sites fall apart.

  • 04

    Your reviews are hiding

You've earned the trust. The site buries the proof people came to find.

  • 05

    Nothing says "this is real"

No real photos, no face, no story — so visitors hedge instead of booking.

Most small businesses don't need a bigger ad budget. They need a website that actually represents them.

The free audit

What you'll get on the Loom I send you.

Send me your site. I'll record a short, honest walkthrough — the five things I look at first, what's working, and the fixes that'd move the needle. No deck, no pitch, no obligation. Just a real read on your site.

  1. 1

Is it obvious what to do?

In three seconds, can a visitor tell whether to call, book, or inquire — and how?

  2. 2

Does it work on a phone?

Most people meet you on mobile first. If it's hard to tap or read, they're gone.

  3. 3

    Can people find the proof?

Reviews, credentials, real photos — front and center, not buried three clicks deep.

  4. 4

    Does it explain why you?

Your story, your work, what makes you different — in plain language, not filler.

  5. 5

    Is booking effortless?

Fewer fields, fewer clicks, no surprises. Every extra step quietly costs you a customer.

  6. free. usually back

Before · after

Same business. A site that finally matches.

Before
Cluttered, dated, no clear next step. ↑ I'll mark this one up for you
After
Warm, clear, one obvious thing to do. Reviews and your face, up front.

Selected work

Three businesses.
Three refreshes.

These three are concept refreshes — real Texas business types, designed to show how a Sprint actually thinks. Client work shared on request.

An honest fit check

Who this is for — and who it really isn't.

I'd rather tell you now than take your money and disappoint you later.

We'll get along if you're…

  • A boutique hotel, inn, or short-term rental
  • A med spa, aesthetics, or wellness practice
  • An interior designer, builder, or remodeler
  • A salon or local service business with reviews to show
  • A founder who's the face of the thing

Probably not your person if you…

  • Need a large custom software platform engineered from scratch
  • Want unlimited rounds and a retainer relationship
  • Don't have photos, services, or a clear offer yet
  • Are shopping purely on who's cheapest

if that's you — no hard
feelings, truly.

How it goes

Four steps. About two weeks. A site that's live.

01

Audit

I dig into your current site, your goals, and what's quietly losing you customers.

02

Plan & copy

We agree on the shape of it. I write copy that sounds like you and points people to act.

03

Design & build

I design and build the whole thing — fast, responsive, trust-first. You see it as it comes together.

04

Launch & hand off

We go live in 7–10 days. I walk you through everything so you can run it without me.

Pricing

One sprint.
One honest number.

Most refreshes land between $2,500 and $5,000, depending on how many pages you need, whether your copy and photos are ready, and how involved booking gets.

I'll never start work — or send an invoice — without confirming the number with you first, in writing. $2,500 is real money for a small business. I treat it that way.

no packages. no upsells.
no surprise line items.

Good questions

The stuff you're actually wondering.

Yes — because the scope is fixed and it's just me, so there's no agency telephone game. The clock starts once I have your content and we've agreed on the plan. If you're slow getting me photos, the timeline stretches a little. That's the only catch.
Copy's included — writing it is half of what I do. Photos are easier: I'll tell you exactly what to shoot on your phone, or point you to a great local photographer. We don't ship stock photos of laptops on desks. Promise.
Whatever you can actually run after I leave — usually Webflow, Squarespace, or Framer, depending on how hands-on you want to be. I'll recommend the one that fits how you work, not the one that locks you into me forever.
Those are who I'm best at — service businesses where trust and a clear next step drive the booking. If you're a founder-led shop in Texas and you're not sure you fit, just send me your site. I'll tell you honestly.
Every pixel. No junior hands, no offshore team, no account manager between us. You'll have my number, and you'll be talking to the person doing the work — start to launch.
I walk you through the whole site so you can update it yourself. You get two weeks of "did this break?" support included. Want me to stick around for ongoing tweaks? We can set that up — but you'll never need a retainer just to change your hours.

About me

Why a product designer is redesigning small-business websites.

I'm Kara — born in Texas, UT Austin grad, formerly a product designer at Capital One, Techstars in the rearview, and a two-time founder who's made every mistake so you don't have to.

I spent years making giant companies' products easier to use. Then I watched friends with beautiful little businesses — a hotel, a spa, a design studio — get talked into websites that looked like everyone else's and did nothing for them. That bugged me enough to start this.

So this is the opposite of an agency. It's one designer who's obsessed with conversion and founder stories, who will actually understand your business, and who shows up to a networking event with a Pikachu backpack. Approachable. A little chaotic. Weirdly strategic about your bookings.

If you've been burned by a freelancer or an agency before — I get it. Send me your site and let me earn it.

Beyond the website

Need more than a refresh?

The Sprint is my main thing — but I spent years as a product designer before this. Once we've worked together, I can help with the rest of your brand, too.

01

Apps & product design

Web and mobile app design — UX, UI, and clickable prototypes — from someone who shipped it at scale for years.

02

Branding & identity

Logo, color, type, and the small details that make your brand feel like itself everywhere people meet it.

03

Graphic design

Social graphics, decks, menus, signage — on-brand collateral that matches your new site instead of fighting it.

Scoped case by case — just mention it in your audit and we'll talk.

No pitch, no obligation — just an honest read on your site, usually back to you within a day.

Let's begin

Send me your website.
I'll tell you what I'd change.

Book a free audit, or just tell me about your business below. Either way you'll hear back from me — actually me — usually within a day.

  1. 1You send me your current site
  2. 2I review the homepage, mobile, trust signals & CTA
  3. 3You get a short Loom with the biggest opportunities
  4. 4If it's a fit, we scope a 7–10 day refresh
